Long awaited collection of wisdom from 40 top leadership authors and best selling experts is now available.

Creative Lead, Bob 'Idea Man' Hooey unveiled this newest collaboration during his leadership keynote at the Toastmasters International convention, this year being hosted in Calgary, Alberta.

Toastmasters members in attendance got access to a free download of this exciting new e-publication from Canada's Ideaman.

This project was started as a way to say thanks to the 235,000 Toastmasters around the world for their leadership roles and contributions to Bob's growth and success in speaking and leadership over the past 17 years.

Taking the lead on leveraging our skills and scope

I've told you about the work 20 speakers are doing in creating the Alberta Speakers website and ad-venture promotional team. This group is using a website which is supported by print advertising as a way to leverage their reach.

Mid November we expanded that outreach by inviting additional speakers to join us in two more online web-based promotional websites. We've had a good response for Edmonton Speakers and Calgary Speakers websites.

Last week we invited speakers from BC to become a part of a new online program to promote Vancouver Speakers and Kelowna/Okanagon Speakers. Again, the response has been good. Obviously, these ideas have struck a chord with our fellow speakers. Yahoo!

Glad to help where we can and we have several other projects under consideration: Atlantic Canada Speakers, Saskatchewan Speakers, Manitoba Speakers, Ontario Speakers, Toronto Speakers, Hamilton Speakers, and Ottawa Speakers. Interesting way to leverage my spare time, keep my webmaster busy, and leverage my reach along with helping my fellow speakers with theirs.

New Pocket Wisdom Motivational Companion for leaders in the works

Bob wanted to let you know that he is currently working on a new Pocket Wisdom Motivational Companion called Secret Leadership Tips. This pocket sized publication will be available for leaders and those they are grooming for leaders. Each page has a motivational or thought provoking quote and some reflective ideas. It will be available in the fall of 2007 and cost $4.95

Bob is creating this Pocket Wisdom publication to support a new web-based service called Secret Leadership Tips. SLS will parallel what he did earlier this year with Secret Selling Tips and will offer bi-weekly subscriptions for leaders and leaders in training.

Mark LeBlanc rocks as NSA's new president

My friend and small business success cheerleader, Mark LeBlanc assumed the presidency of the National Speakers Assocation in San Diego. Mark... you rock.

Mark LeBlanc has been a long time member of the NSA and reminded those of us in the audience that it was the National 'Speakers' Association, not the national consultants, or make money in your pj's association. I say... preach it brother...

Mark set forth his goal as a return to this focus in our business. Not that doing consulting, writing, or other activities is wrong... many of us successfully do these to support our clients and extend our reach... but that we need to keep focused on who we are to grow our association.

Mark has been a leader in our industry for many years and now he will rock as NSA's president for 2007-2008.

Mark Sanborn honored with Cavett in San Diego

My friend and long time encourager Mark Sanborn was surprised with the honor of being this year's Cavett award winner. The Cavett is given by the National Speakers Association to one of their members who best lives the 'spirit of Cavett'. Mark certainly does that. Mark is an extremely generous man with his wisdom, his encouragement and his leadership. That has been the case in my life and my interaction with him over the past decade.

Way to go Mark! We love you....
